The Squish Stand

At the beginning of 2024, our family experienced firsthand the incredible care provided by the Stollery Children’s Hospital when our youngest daughter was admitted for a month-long stay. After weeks of emergency visits, we found ourselves living in a makeshift patient room—a converted playroom kitchen—as the hospital stretched its resources to care for every child in need.

Despite the overcrowded conditions that highlighted just how desperately the Stollery needs more space and resources, we were overwhelmed by the extraordinary care, kindness, and compassion shown by every staff member. They turned what could have been an impossible situation into one where we felt supported every step of the way.

The Stollery has been there not just for our family, but for so many families in our community. Now it’s our turn to give back.

This Lemonade Stand Day, we’re raising funds to help enhance the experiences of families accessing the Stollery’s life-saving programs. Every donation—no matter the size—will help ensure that this incredible hospital can continue providing exceptional care, even while working beyond capacity.
