Maya & Macie’s Sweet N Sassy Lemonade

Maya is so excited to be hosting a lemonade stand in support of the Stollery for the 3rd year in a row! She is even more excited now to have her little sister Macie joining in on the fun!

Maya was born in April 2021 at only 26 weeks. She spent 79 days in the NICU before she was able to come home. Although she had a fairly uneventful stay in the NICU, it was a stressful and scary time for us as first time parents. We will forever owe endless gratitude and love to all staff at the Stollery for being so amazing to our little girl. Being born in the midst of COVID made it even harder. No other family members could visit but thankfully they were piloting the NicView cameras during this time (little bedside webcams). It allowed us and other family members to see her and check in on her anytime day or night. It gave us reassurance when we couldn’t be there with her.

This year, the fundraising is very special to us as the money raised will be going to the purchase of NicView cameras for all bedsides.
