Why We’re Supporting the Stollery

This lemonade stand is extra special to our family because the Stollery Children’s Hospital has personally touched our lives.

In May, Darien had to visit the Stollery to get stitches. Like many kids, she was scared and nervous about what was going to happen. The nurses and doctors were incredibly kind, patient, and understanding of her fears and needs. They took the time to make her feel safe, listened to her, and helped turn a scary experience into one that she could get through. Now, that is minor compared to what many children have to go through, but I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. They care for our children and try to do the best possible for them.

We are so grateful for the amazing care Darien received, and we wanted to find a way to give back to the hospital that was there for her when she needed it.

So, Duke’s Dogs & Lemonade is donating the proceeds from our lemonade stand to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

We hope that together we can help support the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff who care for children and families every day — and help make sure other kids receive the same kindness, compassion, and care that Darien did.
