Divine Lemonade

On Sunday please stop in to see us at Divine Flooring at 10216 123 Street NW for the #lemonloveyeg lemonade stand in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

The Stollery has played a major part in the lives of both Kennedy and Bam over the last 16 years. We couldn’t be more grateful for such an incredible hospital. We are excited to be able to give back!

In the Photo below if you zoom in on the banner the kids are holding there is “Kennedys Heart Bead Journey”
Each bead was given to Kennedy for every admission, scan, procedure and treatment she has had in relation to her heart since she has been born. There are 213 beads currently and these days thanks to the Stollery her Bead Journey has slowed down to only one or two a year now. Kennedy was also born with many other health complications but this visual really gives an insight, as to date she’s had over 400 Stollery days since birth.

Bam was born deaf and with respitory issues that both required surgery. At 17 months old, Bam was given a chance at a surgery that could potentially help him hear. He now hears at 93% compared to the less than 15% they suspected he was hearing prior to surgery.

Fun fact this is how he acquired his nickname Bam (it’s after the flinstones because he would bang on things to get our attention since he couldn’t hear and his speech was delayed)

There are so many wonderful kids that deserve a chance at quality care and life. Thankfully the Stollery Children’s Hospital has been there for so many of us.
